There is one way to find out! Look at the list of landing pages containing the highest total visitors in your marketing automation system – can you see any unsubscribe pages? If your answer is YES, then it is clear, you are not yet a modern marketer… you are doing something wrong!

“I am always completely amazed by the fact that the top visited landing page in their MA system is the unsubscribe page.”

So how does this happen? Is the content boring, or not relevant? Are the emails dull, too frequent, or not consistent? Perhaps the selected email recipients are simply not interested in that particular service or product.

No matter how you look at it, there is something seriously wrong with your marketing funnel when the unsubscribe page is the most visited.

You can think of your marketing automation system like a plane. Marketers are the crew, and subscribed contacts are their prospects and customers. While subscribed and on your plane, they should be enjoying the ride!

They are flying first class to exotic places, as you show them the great benefits of the products and services your brand has to offer. Unsubscribing is the same as parachuting off your plane!
