And together it came, at Oracle and Engagement Factory's first event of their Marketing Transformation Tour, in Utrecht on the 18th of May!

Marketers from global B2B and B2C companies gathered at this unique breakfast session to hear not one, but three Markie award-winning speakers Mark Emmett, Mark Appel and Jos Caelers. Providing valuable insight, and sharing the secrets to their success, they helped inspire these companies to take their marketing to the next level using Marketing Automation.

The session was highly interactive, with many interesting questions and feedback from the attendees. Here are some of the key takeaways from the session:

    Start with the Definitions:
  • What is a lead, and what is not a lead? Share these throughout your organization, so everyone knows about them, and everyone speaks the same language.

    Know your Customer/Prospect:
  • This is the fuel that will drive everything else, and it makes decision-making much easier and faster. Use the personas, and ‘buyer journey’ research, as a start point for nurturing campaigns. This saves a lot of tweaking later on and will deliver much better results.

    Prioritise:
  • Use Playbooks to help improve the degree of automation in your international campaigns, while keeping them locally relevant through the addition of local components.

    Campaign Playbooks:
  • It is impossible to tackle all your personas, for all products, and for all steps in the buyer’s journey at the same time. Decide where and who to start with, and leave the rest behind for now.

    Always Generate Demand:
  • This is not exclusively linked to the later stages in the buyers’ journey, having it as an objective for all your campaigns will be relevant to your success.
