Head of UK Operations at Engagement Factory. Mark Emmett recently joined Engagement Factory to head up our UK team.

Mark was one of the early adopters of Modern Marketing in Europe, introducing and Eloqua into Sony Professional Solutions Europe back in 2008. He has won several awards for his work including winning the prestigious Eloqua Markie for best Lead Nurturing Program. Mark is well known within the B2B Marketing community, having spoken at many events for the Institute of Direct Marketing, Eloqua and more recently Oracle too. Mark also set up the first Eloqua user group in EMEA.

With a background in Direct and multi-channel marketing, Mark developed his skills with the IDM and helped to build a multi-million pound multi-channel retail business for the 3rd largest home improvement retailer B&Q. From there he joined Sony where he created a single view of the customer across 15 country teams and 6 business teams. He built an inside sales team within marketing, to track all their marketing leads through the funnel to close, achieving impressive results that outperformed Sirius decisions benchmarks.

After setting up Eloqua at Sony, Mark was at the cutting edge of a Marketing transformation program, using personas and contact strategies to target prospects with the right message at the right time. This approach was so successful that it won several awards and was then rolled out across 13 other persona groups.

Mark then joined the Marketing Leadership Team at Trustpilot, where he built the Global Marketing Operations Team across 3 continents, and set up the Global Marketing systems and frameworks (Business owner for Eloqua and SFDC) in order for Marketing to be successful. Mark led the set up of campaign management processes and closed loop reporting to track the success of all the campaigns (acquisition, retention and nurturing). While working at Trustpilot, Mark also re-designed the internal sales process to enable tracking of leads and opportunities through the funnel using SFDC. He led detailed research to inform the product development roadmap, buying journeys and personas. He also led the build of the new global website
